Sanguine Shadows

Created for the GMTK Game Jam 2024

During the lunar July in the Far East, horrors invade the human realm. Usually graceful and gentle performers turn into deadly monster slaying instruments, while a musician uses the rhythm of the shamisen to guide the synchronized dancers as they weave and spin through hordes of monsters. 

Take the entire room into consideration as your dancers put their blind faith into the music, applying  the same command to every single dancer.

How To Play

Kill as many monsters as possible, and keep your dancers alive.

The game is lost when less than 3 dancers are left standing

Available moves are displayed in the bottom left corner, mouse over the icons to view their description.

At the start of each round, new monsters may appear and pick a dancer to attack. Each round consists of 3 moves, after that the monsters attack, then monsters surrounded by 3 or more dancers are killed. 

Known Bugs:

Repeatedly clicking the end turn button will absolutely break the game
